X Factor and Fad Diets

X Factor Diet. Why "X Factor"? Because most people if they didn't know the name they will want to call it "X Factor. Then what is X Factor Diet? Please continue reading..


X Factor Diet is actually on old idea that believes if we cutting off the carbs, it will help us bring blood sugar levels under our control and then reduce the amount of insulin released into cardiovascular system. Then our body will start burning up the energy stored as fat in order to make up for the difference in energy levels. By controlling insulin levels, the user can prevent the condition known as Syndrome X (insulin resistance), which diminishes the effect of insulin on fat and promotes obesity.

X Factor Diets have two programs, but both of those them are the same, high-protein and low-carbs diet. X Factor Diets often compared with Atkins diet. Many people in 20th century practiced Atkins diet, but these days, Atkins diet is no longer than just history. There are differences between X Factor Diet and Atkins diet. Atkins Diets promoted butter and fried foods, but X Factor said we should avoid them and focused on fish, eggs, chicken, and all high-protein foods. Two programs from X Factor Diets are Ketogenics plan and Insulin Balance plan.

Insulin Balance plan advised us to eat more vegetables and fruits than Ketogenics plan. If you practice this X Factor Diet seriously, you can lose 4 or 8 pounds in the first 2 weeks if you are a woman, and if you are a man, you can lose 8 pounds or 12 pounds, even 16. But however, X Factor Diets (like Atkins Diet) are not very healthy for you. Report says you need to split the intake of calories between fat 35%, protein 15%, and carbs 50%.

Now, let's talk about fad diets

Usually the first thing people do when they finally realize they are fat, they will panic and look for the fastest way to lose weight. Very risky and big mistake, I must say. There is no "quick fix" for your weight problem.. In internet, we can find many people promised us quick-rich scheme but the truth says all of them are scammers. Same problem with diets, so many people promised you the quick way to lose weight, but you should be careful.

Usually most of fake weight loss tips are telling you to replace fat with water. So you need to drink a lot of water to replace your fat in your body. Weird, because you're trying to lose fat, so then you should focus on how to "lose fat". Then how to lose fat? Do not eat too much fat (but you still need them) and start your exercises. Do not ever forget exercises, it is important to burn fat.

The biggest problem is that quick weight loss schemes can turn into a vicious circle. The more muscles mass one has, the faster your body metabolism and very little of the food intake gets to be stored as fat in your body. But if your diet makes you lose muscle mass, then your metabolism will slows down and the accumulated fat is burned slower, you don't want it, I believe. As you can see, a bad diet is never a good idea because you will even lose weight harder than ever. Starving yourself is not part of "real diet".

Using The Power Of Food To Boost Metabolism

What comes to mind when you think about metabolism? Do you only think about it when you are trying to lose weight? Although most people only think about their metabolism rate when they are trying to slim down, you really should be in tune with your rate at all times. This way you can keep it at it's highest level at all times so that it is burning calories efficiently.

When people notice that their metabolism had slowed down they will often start doing a search for the latest and greatest weight loss pill that promises that their body will become a fat fueling furnace. Unfortunately either the product does not work as claimed or the side effects outweigh the results.

Instead of looking for pills or potions we should be looking at our current and past diets to see where how can improve what and when we eat. In the past have you been into fad diets? A fad diet may be popular and it may give excellent results but the weight slowly returns. Fad diets often leave out one food group or restricts it's use greatly, think low carb or no carb diets. It may sound good at the time but in the long run it slows down your metabolism and causes you to start gaining weight when just a bit of this "forbidden" food is added back into the diet.

So how can food help us boost our metabolism?

You are probably already familiar with the term "starvation mode" This is when you cut back so severely on calories that your body slows down all calorie burning and holds on to as much fat as it can because it believes that it is literally being slowly starved. So in order to have your body believe that food is plentiful you should be feeding it often. Sounds easy doesn't it? Well, it's really not that easy, because we all know that if we over eat we become fat so here are a few tips to keep in mind.

Try to keep your stomach always digesting food.

This is easy accomplished with eating 6 smaller meals every day instead of 3 large meals. By this I mean to eat a bit less for breakfast, lunch and dinner and then have 3 healthy snacks in between.

Try to eat the food in it's most natural state. Instead of drinking juice, eat the whole fruit instead. A glass of orange juice has approximately 100 calories and very little fiber. By eating an orange which has only 85 calories and much more fiber keeping your stomach feeling fuller longer and since it contains more fiber the sugar will get digested more slowly so that you don't have a spiking of blood sugar.

Increase the amount of fiber you eat daily.

Your body uses a lot more calories to burn a high fiber food then it does for a low fiber food. When you have a choice of white flour breads or pasta choose 100% whole grain products. These will not only cause your body to burn more calories to digest but also like the whole fruit keep your body working longer to digest them so that your body does not believe it is going into starvation mode and your metabolism will stay high.

Choose your fat wisely.

Fat is not your enemy, it is needed by the body to keep up with normal bodily functions. Instead of eating fried foods or processed foods with additional fats saturated or trans fats added choose low fat dairy products, lean meats, fish or use a small amount of olive oil on your salad. Like fiber, having fat in your diet will keep you feeling satisfied and not hungry.

If you follow the above tips daily you will be keeping your metabolism rate high and you will be training your body to utilize food more efficiently. This will in turn will help you burn more calories every day and you will find that you can "cheat" every once in a while a not have to worry about the scale always creeping up. It will also help you keep your weight in check so that you don't have a need to look for the latest fad diet or diet pills.

Брат убил родную сестру из-за общего дома

- А буквально через десять минут во двор заехала "Таврия", из которой вышел брат пропавшей. Он отчего-то был с босыми ногами, а брюки мужчины были выпачканы землей. Гостей он явно не ждал, поэтому, вероятно, и сказал первое, что пришло на ум: «Ездил на автозаправку». А когда в багажнике машины нашли лопату, брезент и лопату, то задали уже прямой вопрос: «Где тело?».

Пройтись по следам "Таврии", оставленным на сырой земле, оказалось не сложно. Забытые калоши мужчины стояли... у свежего холмика. И тогда 59-тилетнему подозреваемому пришлось сознаться.

По его словам, смерти сестры он не желал - во время ссоры ударил ее по лицу, а женщина упала и ударилась головой о железное ограждение. Однако, дальнейшие действия брата доказывают преступный умысел: он вывез труп на пустырь и закопал, не предполагая, что давать показания придется так скоро...

The 500 Calorie Fat Loss Myth

The weight loss industry is filled with misleading information when it comes to fat loss. I am constantly surprised and frustrated by advice or tips I see given out on weight loss websites that are flawed, incomplete, or downright wrong. Recently, I was browsing an assortment of weight loss and nutrition blogs claiming to be experts in their fields when I stumbled upon a piece that claimed to be exposing myths that surround weight loss. I was absolutely astonished by some of the claims they presented. The piece was really propagating one of the biggest myths out there while asserting that it was shattering the myth that it is possible to lose 10 pounds in two weeks (even though contenders on the Biggest Loser lose well over ten pounds in two weeks every season). What really floored me was the calculation they presented to tell you how to achieve one pound of weight loss in one week. The article claimed, "If you cut 500 calories (or cut 300 and burn 200 through exercise) every single day of the week, you'll lose about a pound a week. And that's real weight loss." They actually said that! Real weight loss!? Are you kidding me?

Cutting 500 calories from your diet will not guarantee weight loss!

Reducing the number of calories you usually consume by 500 will not necessarily lead to weight loss, let alone one pound per week. Think about it. Say a person on average consumes 2,650 calories per day, but only burn about 2,000 calories in one day. If they limit their caloric intake to 2,150 per day but still only burn 2,000 calories in a day, they will still gain weight, granted the weight gain will slow down, but there is no way they are losing weight by consuming more calories than they burn. Even after reducing their caloric intake by 500 calories they are still gaining weight and that is real weight gain!

After discovering they were perpetuating this myth I decided to explore their site a bit further and found more terrible advice. There advice for determining the number of calories you should consume for fat loss is as follows:

"YOUR CURRENT WEIGHT X 12 = calories needed to maintain your weight

To lose 1 pound/week: Cut 500 calories/day

To lose 2 pounds/week: Cut 1,000 calories/day"

Do not follow advice from websites that give you this misinformation.

The above calculation is wrong. Again, an example will prove it. Say a 5'10" male weighs 220 pounds. Following the calculation above, this person could consume 2,640 calories per day and maintain his weight of 220 pounds. If the man wanted to lose one pound per week he would reduce his caloric intake by 500 calories. FALSE! The fact is the man in the example would have a BMR of 2,125 calories per day. This is the number of calories this man burns in one full day at a rested state. Reducing his calories to 2,140 per day is still more than his BMR. It is more likely that he would have to reduce his caloric intake by 500 calories per day in order to maintain his current weight. If he consumed 2,640 calories per day he would keep on gaining weight. He would have to cut significantly more than 500 calories per day to lose one pound per week.

Please, if you have not already, take a look at my article on reading your calorie compass to be sure you sufficiently reduce your caloric intake to lose weight. Do not fall for the 500 calorie fat loss myth.
